Many football fans are looking forward to the upcoming Super Bowl. There is no better way to celebrate than to throw your own football watching party. All you need is a large screen TV, some tasty drinks, and a variety of TV watching snacks. If you have decided to throw this year?s Super Bowl party, make sure you keep these planning tips in mind.
Choose a location
Super Bowl parties can get a little rowdy. If you plan to host this year?s football party, make sure your house is party proof. Remove any breakable items from the main room and make sure you have plenty of seating. It is likely that guests will be on their feet a lot, screaming and shouting at the TV, but having comfortable seating in between plays is beneficial. Make sure all of the seating has a good view of the TV. If possible, move your largest TV to the room of the party. Your guests will appreciate the improved view.
Invite your guests
For some, the Super Bowl is one of the most important events of the year. This means that many people will be securing their Super Bowl plans well in advance. If you want to have a good turnout at your party, make sure you invite your guests will plenty of time. Just drop a mention that you will host the party and then you can figure out the details later. An invitation does not need to be formal. A simple phone call, text message, or even social media notification will work fine. If you expect your guests to bring anything, such as a dish to share or their own growler containers to share, make sure you inform them of this ahead of time.
Plan for lots of finger foods
Sit down meals do not generally work well for Super Bowl parties. Instead, create a menu of finger foods such as chips, wings, and even pizza. Guests will not be sitting down to eat and are likely to snack on food between plays, so make sure the food choices are easy to carry around. Chips and dips are a popular favorite. Choose a couple of your favorites and then ask that guests bring their favorite dip to share for an easily planned party. If you want something that is of more substance, you can always collect a pool of money to order in pizzas after the game is over.
Have plenty of drinks available
You will find that the majority of guests will bring their own drinks, but it is still a good idea to have plenty of drinks available too. Vacuum growlers are a great idea because they are unique and come in many different flavors. If you enjoy vacuum growlers, you can even ask that each guest bring their favorite vacuum growlers. You won?t have to pay as much for drinks for the party and your guests will have many choices to choose from.
You could even provide your guests with one growler keg or large 64 Oz growler and ask that they supply the rest of the drinks. Approximately 14% of Americans drink beer at least once a week, making it a great party drink choice. U.S. consumers 21 and older consumed 27.5 gallons of beer and cider per person during 2015. Don?t forget to have plenty of water available for guests too.
Follow these party planning tips and you are sure to throw a great Super Bowl party. The most important part of the party is the game, so as long as you have access to a good TV, you will have a successful party. The drinks and food choices are also a great addition and if you offer unique dips and numerous custom growlers or vacuum growlers, your party will be a hit.
